Persephone
(psymbolrsĕf?symbolnē) or Proserpine (prōs?r?psymbolnē) , in Greek and Roman religion and mythology, goddess of fertility and queen of the underworld. She was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter. When she was still a beautiful maiden, Pluto seized her and held her captive in his underworld. Though Demeter eventually persuaded the gods to let her daughter return to her, Persephone was required to remain in the underworld for four months because Pluto had tricked her into eating a pomegranate (food of the dead) there. When Persephone left the earth, the flowers withered and the grain died, but when she returned, life blossomed anew. This story, which symbolizes the annual vegetation cycle, was celebrated in the Eleusinian Mysteries, in which Persephone appeared under the name Kore.

This is a pen name for one of the Others I presume(woman).. Some one of high standings if not the highest. Queen of the underworld, under the island? In a hatch?
Could persephone be the woman who speeks after clicking the second sig on document 2 who talks about subverting authority?

I'm interested to see what happens with the Persephone thing. Maybe she's an actual person? Alvar's wife, perhaps?

Did you get yours in an actual commercial break, or awkwardly slapped into the middle of a scene, like we did in Australia?

I was only half watching The Hunting Party here, and suddenly there's a commercial spontaneously airing during the Locke, Jack and Sawyer escapades! Seriously...I was just 'wtf'.

LOL, I'm curious if it's just an issue of Channel 7 suckage, or if Hanso is universally awkward.

Maybe its just me but the line and circle thingy for the 2 letter intro shows two faces on them. One is large and is pointed by the big arrow (it is tilted on a 45 degree angle) and a smaller one harder to find is a bit the the right and down. These faces are like ghostly images and kinda freaky so i just wanted to share.

It was certainly an interesting. A whole new method of advertising, to be serious. I was surprised, but I recognized it right away - some Lost fans I know actually missed it. Pathetic. :P

Anyway, it is a wierd site. Honestly, it all seems way to irrelevant in my opinion. Doesn't really apply to lost from what I can tell.

Oh. That's definitely a hell of a lot better than we got. It would be difficult for an Australian viewer not to pick up on it, what with the "Did you miss the clue during tonight's episode? [insert video here] Go to our yahoo group and discuss it!" just after the promo for next week. *facepalm*

It is weird. First time it came around I though Hanso was just some gimmick by the network, but it's kind of interesting how it fits in with the Easter eggs.

As far as I know, the only time Hanso's been mentioned directly on LOST was in the Orientation video by Dharma.
