We had the "Widmore Construction" company in one of Charlie's (I think >.<) flashbacks, and "Widmore Pregnancy Tests" in The Whole Truth.
I guess Widmore are either the new Numbers, or a lead up to something that will unfold in future episodes. Guess it just depends if they have a purpose or the writers are on crack again :/ |

Libby's def not faking it. She's mental for real. I took a short course of psych in college (just for the credits), we studied patient by "watching" them, we don't fake ourselves and play with them. That's nuts!
She does remind me of a case I heard of a shrink/counselor she lost a patient and went crazy. (It's said that the patient might have had some feeling s for her.) As for Henry's quote, I don't think it really meant anything, it might just be something he said out of frustration. He's one of the Others, but probably a nobody. I don't think he's on a mission, he's not mentally strong enough to go undercover. He might have gotten tired of the Others and decided to leave the rest, and the island. |

Another possibility with Libby is that she works for a detective or some sort of FBI type program. She was assigned the case of the island, and needed to get all the information possible on the numbers; they relate to the island, so they're really important. And after maybe visiting someone in the hospital - as a blonde - she found it was Leonard who repeated the numbers; she would've then dyed her hair brown, and faked insanity to spy on him. If she was in the FBI, it would be totally believable to fake insanity. Although, not really morally correct. Yet another possibility is that she is a very rich, but semi-insane woman, pining after her husband David. It is my belief that David is in fact the man Hurley thought was real in the asylum: Dave. And after going almost insanely depressed due to the death of her husband, David, Libby would have paid money to the clinic to get in because she was only a bit insane. She might have believed that Hurley was contacting Dave in the after life. Who knows? I think this definately is not the last of Dave we'll see. |
