TOPIC SAYS IT ALL !!!
You know how "alex" helped Claire and then Danielle, well, when she dropped her off near caves, Claire didnt know who Ethan was, and about 1hr before that she was yelilng out in the jungle "ETHAN IM HERE" (when they were looking for her). How the hell do you explain that?

My guess would be that the blow to the head that Danielle gave her with the rifle to keep her quiet messed with her memory...essentially helping her forget memories that she didn't want to think about.

I assumed that the blow to the head, the sedative drugs in her system and all she'd been through caused her to block it all out. So when she woke up after Danielle dropped her off thats when she couldn't remember anything.
