Did you hear Ethan talk about them being a family of "good people"? In the Orientation video there is a mention of utopian societies, but the actual mention is obscure because at that moment the film jumps either by damage or because it has been cut out.

And Dharma was made up of scientists and free-thinkers. So perhaps Dharma was an attempt at creating a society of "good" people who are devoted to science experiments and philosophy etc...for the "good" of manking, but over time they've gone seriously wrong. From their point of view the methods they use such as kidnap, murder, sabotage are justified because in the end they think it achieves a greater good for their project.

I thought this epuisode was absoluley amazing!! I loved the way it showed what claire had been through.
I believe that the man talking to ethan was Zeke,and to the question of him disguising himself.I think it's to lead on people of a different opinion of him,and they'd just think he was like a jungle boy,rather than a scientist.
I loved the bit at the end where Claire was talking to Aaron,it shows how much she loved Aaron :D

I'm kinda half and half on the whole henry being an other thing,I didn't think he was before this eppy,but now I see what he's doing to Locke and Jack,and I'm thinking,"maybe he is an other."

And did anybody else remember that,the medecine claire's looking for is right in the hatch?

Holy cow, you're right!! That's gotta be key. That might prove something about Desmond. And I stand by my belief that that guy is not an other. If I'm wrong, sure, you can shove it in my face and throw tomatos at me. Lol!

My wife, of all people, brought this us.

The first season was 40 days on the island. We are about half way, may three quarters through the second season (30 days max). Aaron was born halfway through the first season (20 days on the island) so at the time of this episode Aaron was no more than 6 weeks old. Since the islanders are lacking in refidgeration, and preservatives Claire is Aaron's only source of food. There is NO WAY she would have left Aaron for more than an hour.

I think it was a good episode and I really like that we finally know at least something about what happened to Claire while she was abducted. I just wonder what the f**k they were drugging her with that would make her so drowsy and "hey, I'm just having a good time with my boyfriend Ethan" that WOULDN'T had harm the baby? She was like on heroine or something (from the Nigerian plane maybe :D).

Well. Henry Gale. Maybe he is an Other, maybe he isn't. Maybe he's just a big fan of Wizard of Oz and has changed his name. Maybe his dream was to fly in that balloon and he's telling the truth - now THAT would be weird. But four months on the island, nah, I doubt it - he doesn't look like the hunting type to me, he had no weapons while being in the middle of the jungle etc. He probably is one of the Others, but it WOULD be fun if he wasn't. However, I do think he will come to affect not only Locke but also Jack (as time goes by) and act them out against each other.

About Locke: He is a man with a lot of aggression built up inside of him. Which is quite understandable. Since he came to the island, he's been "living" on this miracle that made him walk again. I think even Locke is now being forced to deal with the situation "we're on a shitty island in the middle of nowhere and I'm out of good lines about how everything's so fantastic". Locke is an interesting character all in all. He's gone from the mysterious guy to the good guy to the "hmm, maybe he's hiding something"-guy to almost the evil guy and now all of a sudden he's a noone guy. A guy hired at a box company, WHO ARE BEING TOLD WHAT TO DO. Cause we all know, Locke gets furious when someone tells him what to do (and not do). If that continues, we have a ticking bomb, he might actually get nuts.

And again: I think there is more to Locke's father than has already been mentioned. I mean, how did that guy become so rich? His (Locke's) mother said that he wasn't concieved the natural way, well, what if she wasn't insane, what if it was TRUE? And Locke's father is the one behind all this Dharma Initiative projects and getting rich by it. (Ok, wild conspiration theory, I know, but anyhow, I seriously think there is something with Locke's father that hasn't quite been figured out.)

Ethan, I wrote previously about him and how I thought he wasn't all bad. Well, I still think I'm right. I think HE thought he was doing the right thing. Because The Others is a cult, and if you're in a cult, you cant see clearly. I think it was interesting to see him being so "good" to Claire while she was there (aka before they were going to cut her up and steal her baby).

And finally, I think their "bushmen's suits" are for camouflage only.

Well, we'll se what happens. And: I'm sorry if my English is incorrect now and then, but that's because...well, you know, I'm Swedish. ;)

EDIT: I just thought of something. If Michael was with the Others, where is he now, that we know the Others left their camp? Unless he never got to them. They still need to show what happened to him.

I think Henry Gale is the Big Bad. The 'He' Zeke was referring to when he was talking to Ethan in the corridor. Since his underlings Ethan and Goodwin both kinda botched their jobs, he probably decided that if you want something done right, do it yourself. Infiltrate the group, spread some dissent among the Losties, slow them down and prevent them from forming any sort of army.

The Others probably abandoned the medical hatch as soon as they lost Claire - location compromised. They didnt know that she'd have amnesia, she could have lead the Losties back to the hatch once the drugs wore off. Zeke probably has plenty of mangy fake beards not to bother with the one left behind.

I was thinking that the psychic Claire went to before the island might actually be an Other as well. Far-fetched, but, indulge me here. Maybe the flight crashing was engineered by the Others. The psychic is actually scouting for Gifted ones along with several other 'scouts' and when he realised they were orchestrating a crash to capture Walt, he hastily insisted Claire go to the States on the same flight - two birds with one stone - organizing plane downings probably pretty costly. Maybe they'll eventually show a Rousseau flashback with her visiting the same psychic. Dum-dumDUM!!

I seem to like the Losties with shady pasts the most - Sawyer the con artist, Sayid the torturer and Eko the drug dealer. Sawyer is STILL a con artist, Sayid is 50-50, Eko is reformed. For now....
