**QUESTION**
OK so like we find out that there is this underground facility that claire was in while pregnant. And we see here all like spaced out and dazed. 1. How did they create this underground hole in the earth. It was most likly there before the plane crash but i doubt before Rousou's time. It musta taken some nice excavating tools to dig like that. 2. Between the flee of Clair and the finding of the facility, how did the Others get ALL that equipment out of there? Sure they have man power but did they carry the stretcher and other equipment through the jungle, which would probally leave a trail(by foot or vehicle) or was there a Back door to the hospital that we never know about that can potentially unlock more secrets. 3. Did Kate take any of the items she found with her back to camp? And why do the Others dress like stranded people? 4. Why wasnt there much more exploration of the hospital because im sure there were more than three rooms. They did a nice job with the flicker lights and the eerie atmosphere though. I was waiting for something to pop out at any minute. 5. The Janitor looked kinda familiar but i cant put my finger on it. ---With Henry--- 1. We see that Henry is a reader by Locke's convos and we have ties to The Wizard of Oz from his alaby. Henry is trying to turn Locke and Jack against each other. Why would he do this if he was a crashed person? 2. Eko's little talk with Henry was unexpected. I find it kinda cool how he told him about how he killed two men with his bare hands and if Henry is an Other, these men were probaly in contact with Henry. Eko is saying like I killed your pal's and I can kill you too. MUHAHAHA 3. Sun and Jin having a baby? Someones been rockin the boat :boat: :P |

This is my first post. In answer to how the hatch/hospital got there. The orientation film said there were three hatches on the island. This could be the third one. I saw the Darma insignia on the wall. My question is why did Rousseau help Claire get away from the hospital and then turn around and try to kidnapp Aaron in last season's finale? Why didn't she just kidnapp Claire and hold her hostage like she did Sayid until the baby came and then trade him. I thought Locke's reaction to Gale's manipulations didn't ring true. Locke has been traveling to the beat of his drum since the first episode. He should be able to see through Henry's game. Still it was a good episode.

Great episode!!!
I agree with every one else who has said that Locke was not acting like himself. I can't believe he would let 'Henry' play him like that. And I'm also kinda wondering why he has not mentioned Henry's name and story in relation to the Wizard of Oz. The talk Claire and Danielle had at the end was awesome. It started all sweet and teary, but then it just turned creepy when Danielle said if Aaron gets sick she hoped Claire would "do what she had to do" I still can't get my mind around some of the things that happened to Claire but it was so crazy! It just made me hate Ethan even more. Next week looks great! Sun...pregnant?

Am I wrong? I thought I saw that the vile's of 'medicine' being infected (sorry, 'injected') into Claire had the same label as the Theatre Glue used to hold on the fake beards? What a wonder-substance. Prety strange, if that's what I saw.

Didn't really like this one. Except Gale? Priceless moment =) "You could let me go!". Lost needs more one-liners.
I agree with you guys about Locke. The dish smashing was uncalled for. Did he not notice the potential Other trying to turn him on Jack? It doesn't take a genius to see that. Unless he did it on purpose because he knew Gale would here it. But I ain't given Locke that much credit. Quote:

Lol Sleep, some1 agrees with me :D Henry will take control over Locke and at the end he will let him go simply because Locke will do stuff that Jack doesnt allow. You wait and see :P The guy that Ethan was talking to (before they showed his face) I was 100% certain that it was "Zeke". I still think it is him but without beard.

It is always possible that Locke knows about Henry Gale and the Wizard of Oz and that is why he is discussing literature with him to begin with.
Locke may know that Gale is trying to play him, and so is acting the part to help draw him out. Of course it is also possible that since Locke has already defined himself with EVERYONE else on the island that a complete stranger sees him as something different... maybe the collection agent for a box company that he really is really pisses him off. Just being seen as the do-boy instead of a leader. |

If there were three (or more) hatches on this island. And one of them had a button that had to be pushed every 108 minutes or something terrible/wonderful would happen. Why would the Others ever give up control of THAT Hatch?
I can only think that they KNOW the button doesn't do anything and they just propogate the myth in order to keep the crash victims contained to one portion of the island. Is the Island a secret military project and The Others are ex-military who have taken control of it? Is the island a floating construct that can be steered in order to make attacks on the enemy? That would explain the Polar Bear, The Drug Plane from Africa, South Pacific Plane Crash, and possible Hot Air Balloon from Kansas. |

That was an amazing episode. I wasn't dissapointed at all with the flashbacks to Claire's abduction. I wasn't expecting that to ever be shown. But I'm so glad it was.
Just a few points to the issues people raised: The Dharma stations were around BEFORE Dannielle Rousseau came to the island. Dannielle has only been on the island for 16 years. The Dharma stations have been around since at least 1980 according to the date on the Orientation tape. In fact Dannielle came to the island because of the numbers (4 8 15 16 23 42) being transmitted from the radio tower. According to the tape there are at least 6 stations. The bunker with the button is station 3. Originally a place to study the magnetic fluctuations coming from that sector of the island, but later converted to the button pushing station following an "incident". Two men are meant to take shifts at pushing the button in station 3 until replacements are sent. The last person who was on a shift at station 3 was Kelvin, but he had been waiting years because his replacements never showed up. Then Desmond crashed his sailing boat and was taken in by Kelvin until he died. Polar bears were seen in the Orientation video too. I think they and the sharks were part of animal behaviour study experiments. Someone else asked why Rousseau helped Clare escape, when it would have been easier to hold her hostage and wait until the baby was born. Simple. Rousseau heard the whispers about "getting the boy" AFTER she rescued Clare and returned her to the survivors. Thats when she came up with the plan for the snatching. I'm certain that the guy speaking to Ethan was Mr. Friendly (sometimes known as Zeke). I'm unsure why they disguise themselves in shabby clothes. Almost certainly as a disguise, but for what purpose would they need to disguise themselves? Maybe by dressing as a simple tribe won't draw attention to who they really are and what they're doing on the island. Someone else asked why Charlie wasn't mentioned in this episode. Well simply because the focus of this episode was Claire and what happened to her. Claire hadn't had her own episode since the beginning of season 1. |

Good episode, it cleared many questions but it also open doors for many more.
In regards to next episode with Sun presumably getting pregnant, I can't but wonder what if she is getting but SICK? Remember, there is supposed to be an epidemic roaming in the island. Just a thought, don?t want to disturb anybody. |
