Epi 12 of Season 2
Fire & Water {Charlie-Centric} IN THE FLASHBACKS: Liam is using, and has just become a father. He has a daughter named Megan, after his mom. Later on, they show Driveshaft doing a commercial, but they lose the deal because Liam keeps messing up. Karen (Liam's wife) kicks Liam out because she thinks he's too dangerous. He tells Charlie that he dropped the baby. Liam sells Charlie's piano for money, and tells him that he's going to Sydney. He will be in a rehab place there, and someone's offered him a job. He wants to get better so he can live with his wife and daughter. He leaves Charlie, who's dreams of writing new songs and putting out new albums as brothers are shattered. In the epi:non-flashback: Charlie is seeing things. First, he imagines a piano on shore with Aaron trapped inside. He also sees Aaron's crib out on the water and goes to save him. He awakes to find he has taken Aaron out of his crib, and angers a frantic Claire. Another thing he sees is an image of his mother and Claire dressed as angels, telling Charlie that the baby is in danger, and he must save Aaron. There are flying doves, in the vision as well. Eko tells him that there might be a meaning behind his dreams. Charlie tells Claire that she must baptize Aaron. Later: Charlie goes to his stash and looks at his statues. He breaks one and takes the heroin out, looking at it. Locke follows him, and takes all the heroin. He doesn't think Charlie is to be believed anymore. Charlie makes a fire to take Aaron. Locke punches him, and returns Aaron to Claire. Eko explains to Claire about baptism, and baptizes both Aaron and Claire. Locke stores the statues in some sort of safe. OPINION: All poor Charlie wants is a family! I feel so bad for him! I hate Locke for punching him. I hate Liam for getting Charlie on drugs in the first place. Hurley asking about Libby to Sawyer was so cute. And Hurley/Libby doing laundry was cute as well! QUESTIONS: What's happening with Walt and Michael? What was with Locke SAVING the statues instead of throwing them out or something? How will Charlie cope without his drugs? Will Claire forgive Charlie? Will Hurley and Libby get together? Will Jack and Ana? AND THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION OF ALL: WILL ALL OUR QUESTIONS EVER BE ANSWERED? .... Nope. And that's why we love it!

I don't know how you can hate Locke for hitting Charlie. The guy started the fire, took Claire's baby TWICE, lied in Locke's face about him not having any statues.
Locke should have broken a few of his ribs not only punch him 3 times. Locke was by far my favourite character, but now since I seen this episode I LOVE HIM even more. Charlie is just a stupid idiot. Nothing more to be said. He talk's about family. Pfft. Like he was perfect all along. Taking someone's baby without them knowing is just pathetic.

not that i'm in favour of this or anthing, but i think charlie needed a bit of slapping around...he needs to realize that he cant be acting all irriational and expect people to accept and trust him ...sorry charlie, but when your an addict, it just comes with the territory

Thats true. He needs to learn to be responsible for his actions, but I still feel a little bad for him because he's so misunderstood.

Its strange to think that Locke was the open minded man of faith and after watching the episode it looks like MR.Eko is taking that role.
I can't say i like this ep. much i guess its because locke has lost the role of man of faith, and well i hated it when he punched charlie i'd thought Locke would be more understanding. *Shrugs* |

And I am still supremely confused as to what happened to Charlie. Was he using again? I think, and this is a long-shot, though: You know how the island is supposed to have healing powers? Rose and Locke and stuff? Well, maybe the island reversed his.. cure, or something? Locke helped him break his heroin addiction; maybe the island reversed it, because the island itself didn't do it? Who knows. |
