Ok, just because you are all used to instant communication being called "IM" doesn't mean it wasn't around back then.

Of course, I remember when the whole internet started becomming popular, but most importantly, I remember BEFORE the internet. There was FIDOnet, IRC, bulletin board systems, DOOR games. Before AOL there was Prodigy.

What we call the internet backbone now, was a private computer network back then, between the library of congress and certain universities. But before THEY had their private network, the US military had it. This was the 80's.

And who knows... in LOST, the Dharma Inititative invented chatting.

This was a pretty good ep. Glad to finally know what the heck Kate did to be a fugitive. I was kinda sad when we found out that her mother turned her in, and that Wayne was her real father.

But I was also like wtf? about the whole Sawyer channeling Wayne thing. It was just way to weird.

I really like Eko, he's a cool dude and telling the story about Josiah(i think i spelled that right) and finding the book before showing Locke the film. Really cool reveal.

Nice overlap of the video saying do not use the computer to try to communicate while Micheal was doing just that. Wonder what the bad thing was that happened "last time."

Was that Walt? How was he talking to Micael? Is the next episode really not until Jan? What will happen next?

I want to know the answers to those questions and will die if I have to wait until January!!!

This episode was ok. It was great to finally be able to see just what Kate did...
I wonder what the black horse means... (Black horse, white polar bear?)
It's strange how everyone is seeing things from the past. (Polar bears, Walt, the black horse, Jack's dad)
And then Michael talking to Walt on the computer!! Creepy!! (Do you guys think it really WAS Walt?)
& I like Mr. Eko. He's cool. :D

So, if you go to the hanso website and click on the Alvar Hanso section and then click on his picture, the message has changed since "What Kate Did". It used to be Dr. Candle's orientation film.

Now there comes up the message on the computer from this episode only in place of where "This is Michael, who is this?" there appears only the word "MOLE". Then it stops.

Any ideas?

It wasn't all that great. I didn't like all the hosh-posh about her past and I found it irrelavant. But the end was............WoW! Don't believe its Walt tho.
