I just did an experiment by building a real countdown clock

What i noticed and its revealed in this episode that its actually 109 minutes of countdown

The first time they enter the code in by themselves the clock resets

it then goes back to 108:00

a few moments go by and then it reshows the clock eventually moving from 108:00 to 107:00

The clock only shows the minutes during the final 4:00

So in effect the starting time is 108:59 but only shows to be 108:00

Now considering the numbers add up to 108 - is this noteworthy that the clock isnt 108 minutes?

PS im in the UK so we are only on episode 6 - so if this is already explained in later episodes my appologies

Hey, you're right! I just accepted it at face value of 108 minutes.

Maybe it's just about the impact? "108" has significance to the numbers, but if they just said "107" it could just be "bzuh"?
