Epi 1:Man of Science, Man of Faith

hey everybody! since im a writer (Duh) I will be writing my views and comments on the episodes and telling you what is going on in case you miss the episode.
So without further ado, here we go!

*First episode of the second season*
Epi 1: Man of Science, Man of Faith
In case you missed the episode or need to refresh your memories, here is a recap of last night's episode!

The episode starts off with somebody bustling around the place, putting on a record, excercising, doing the dishes, etc. The person injects himself with something. Then he hears an alarm, and gets a gun and looks through a cameralike object which he has in numerous places. The shot goes farther up the hatch until it gets up to the opening, where Jack and Locke are looking down it with a torch. So obviously, that guy lives in the hatch.

Locke and Jack have a disagreement. Locke wants to go down at that moment and chek the hatch out. Jack tells him they should come back in the morning. Locke reluctantly agrees. Kate looks at the hatch door which says QUARANTINE in big letters. They walk back to the caves to report what has happened. Kate and Locke talk briefly about the monster and how it was a column of smoke. (And come to an agreement that they both saw it, and neither are crazy lol.)

Meanwhile, back near the caves (I think) Shannon can't find Vincent, Walt's dog that he entrusted to her care. Sayid comes along with Shannon, and they go to search for Vincent. Finally, Shannon sees him, but Vincent runs off. They run after him and Shannon falls. When she gets up, she keeps looking around and around, hearing whispers. She turns around and sees Walt. Dripping wet. Eyes wide. He puts his finger to his lips, and says sometihng like "Shh...Don't tell." Shannon hears a noise, and turns around to see Sayid. She turns back around, and Walt is gone. They return to the caves, as do Kate, Hurley, Locke, and Jack.

Jack tells everyone that it isnt possible to get 40 people down there right now. Everyone begins to argue, and people think Shannon (who told everyone about walt) is crazy. Jack says they'll come to a solution and further explore the hatch in the morning. (Something like that anyway)

Jack turns around to see Locke taking a cable, and he states that he is going to the hatch now. Kate goes along with him, refusing to let him go alone. Together, the 2 go to the hatch.

*Meanwhile, (as always) every episode has flashbacks. This episode the flashback's had to do with Jack. And this is what they showed. IN SHORT: It showed Jack as a doctor (father still alive) and they bring in 2 patients, result of a car accident. The woman who caused the accident is Sarah. The other person dies. Jack feels bad for Sarah, who was going to get married, and he is feeling guilty. He goes to a stadium and runs up and down the steps. He sprains his ankle, and another person there running helps him. What they have in common is they are both doctors. After assisting him, the man 'Desmond' leaves with a simple 'See you in another life.' After this, Jack goes to Sarah and tells her the surgery he performs didnt help her and that she has no hope of regaining movement under her waist. Sarah asks why she could wiggle her toes, and Jack does experiments and she says she feels some her legs. The flashbacks end.*

At the hatch: Kate goes down the hatch attached to the cable. She's almost down, when her flashlight falls. She feels that something's coming, and screams for Locke to pull her out. A light comes out of the hatch, and Locke struggles to pull Kate out. The light disappears, and Locke pulls up the cable. Kate is gone.

Jack decides to go after Kate and Locke, and goes to the hatch. He goes down. Lights come on, music plays, and a camera turns to face Jack. Jack goes further in, and comes to a computer-the only thing typed on it is >:| <<like that lol
He turns to press erase and Locke says "Dont do that Jack." Jack turns around to see Locke, and Jack points his gun at him. Jack starts agruing with Locke about destiny and asking where Kate is. A gun appears on Locke's head. Someone tells Jack to drop it. The man's face, hidden from view, appears. It is Desmond, the guy that helped him in the stadium. The episode ends with a simple word for Jack's mouth: "You."

*Funny Moments*
As always with Hurley!

Hurley: Why did you do it, man?
Locke: Do what?
Hurley: Light the fuse.
Locke: Why shouldn't I have?
Hurley: Well maybe because I was running towards you, waving my arms, saying 'Dont do it?' :lol2: :lol2:

Hurley: Things could be worse, you know...I mean, sure the 'others' are coming to eat us all, and once in a while, somebody blows up, but HEY at least we get to sleep in! :lol2: :lol2:

*My Comments/Questions*

See, I told you Shannon wouldn't take good care of Vincent! She already lost him!

Jack looks UGLY in the flashbacks with hair... :blink:

I am so angry they didn't show anything with the people on the raft aka Michael, Jin, Sawyer, and *sniff* Walt...Will they show them next epi? Whats happened to them?

At first, when I saw Walt, I thought that maybe he had escaped form the others or something, and thats why he told Shannon to be quiet so the others wouldn't find him or something....WHERE IS WALT????!!!!!????

Jack's flashbacks....as always...were pretty boring.....*snore* at least for me...

What's with the >:| face on the computer???

When did Desmond get there? More importantly...WHY IS HE THERE?!?

What did he inject himself with?..there's obviously something wrong with that picture!

Did he shut himself in (quarantine) or did someone else?

What caused him to get that way? Or to the island?

What happened to Sarah? DivorcE? Death? Something serious, obviously...

Why was Locke so calm down in the hatch? (Well he looked calm, as if he wasnt in danger and a gun wasnt pointed at his head)

WHERE IS KATE?!?

And the most important...WILL THESE ANSWERS EVER BE REVEALED?!?!

By the way, what was with those previews? All old clips, and the narrator guy saying 'The fate of al the survivors will be revealed next week' and NO NEW CLIPS!!!

HOWEVER MAYBE THE PIRATES? DUMPED HIM. STILL THE EQUIPMENT HE HAS IS SOMEWHAT MODERN AND...EXTENSIVE. :pirate:

Quarantine was written on the inside. So did he lock himself in, to protect himself from what was outside? Or..what if there was once another segment, attached to the hatch..like a room? Or containment cell?

I second that question. I was thinking the same thing. Also, he looked very pissed that they broke into his place. Why can't anyone, nowadays, live in a hatch on island far away from civilization without having the fear of that hatch's door being blown up?

I'm assuming they are going to show them next episode since it's titled "Adrift" like out to sea. And it's a Michael centric episode

Reminds me of those movies where people do research like Deep Blue Sea... like an 80's computer kinda makes you wonder how long he's been down there.
