OH! I just thought of something...wut if its one of those things where you move the letters around to make another word? Like Ethan Rom=Other Man. So...all the religious stuff has to do with GOD and what can GOD be? DOG! Perhaps Vincent is the key?
About Locke being God, I don't think so. The island has chosen him, though for some reason. Remember, he said "The island will show us!" or something like that, so if he thinks the island's gunna show him, he's not god. But he is a type of "chosen one"

anyway *smacks herself back to being all serious and thinky-dinky* Vincent is always there, isn't he? When Jack woke up, Vincent was there, he's randomly peering through the bushes, and didn't Locke find him like right after he saw the monster?

The sign on the car said Lost Dog... so CHLOE that's soo cool... Lost GOD... hmmm maybe?
And then Well it's not really religious but I thought the whole shooting bird thing was symbolic of the plane crashing you know and then Locke's dad was like "Let's go find your bird." and then Boone and Locke find the yellow plane.. I liked all the foreshadowing with the mouse trap and Locke's little deception then Boone and him getting hurt and it was good.
