His head was filled with the roar of the waves, the steady crash filled his ears, his head, his very heart seemed to pulse with its constant rhythm. There was nothing but darkness, a whirling abyss in which he seemed to exist. He could see nothing. He could feel nothing. He made to raise an arm, to feel his body. He tried to seek out his arms, his chest, but his arm moved through emptiness, his fingers clutched at nothing but the darkness that surrounded him. And then he realized there was not even an arm, he was not really moving. His body didn't exist. He simply was, his mind floating through the blackness as if an a drift of wind.

He felt something against him. Against his face. And then he knew then that he did exist, he was there, his body had not disappeared. He felt a roughness against his cheek, a graininess that he recognized as sand. And then there was a blast of cold, a cold so complete he felt frozen in it as if frozen in time. The felt the coldness wash against his legs, which were by now so numb that it was almost impossible to detect. And then he felt the wetness, tasted the saltiness. He lay face down on the shore of the beach.

Faces peered down at him frightened, questioning, but he didn't see them. He saw nothing, for he still sat in darkness, but now it was cold, so cold that he wanted to sink into the sand, sink down and be warm, and not surface again. He felt the sand open around him to embrace him, to swallow him, and he smiled as he drifted off into the unfeeling abyss once more.

((yea so, i'm done with my other character. For certain reasons, i can't continue her. I need something different. Maybe someone can find me, i'm just laying on the beach, washed up on shore. Day 5 coming soon)).
