lost makes you think. Unlike other genres/shows such as desperate housewives, or even things like grey's anatomy (i have nothin against these shows) lost is show for the mind. It presents mysteries and questions that involve that audience and make them a part of the show. True lost fans not only watch the show, but spend time thinking about it and forming theories.
