I'm the new Lost columnist at Addicted to Alias, I'm not sure if anyone is one here so feel free to delete this if there is one.

Eko-centric

We begin with a flashback of Eko in Nigeria as a child being confronted by some sort of military. They grab his little brother and want him to shoot an old man in the village. Eko pushes his brother out of the way and kills the man himself.

The military people are delighted and call Eko "a born killer". Eko is then taken away.

We flash forward to Eko carving words on his stick. Claire and Baby Aaron come over and chat. Claire notices Eko is religious and inquires that he should talk to Charlie, whom she thinks is religious since he carries a Virgin Mary statue everywhere. Eko is obviously disturbed by this and asks to see the statue. Claire brings him Charlie's statue and Eko breaks it open, revealing Charle's stash of heroin.

Cut to Locke locking up guns in the hatch. Michael looks interested in this.

Cut to Jin and Charlie fishing together as Charlie sings obnoxiously. Jin says something in Korean and Charlie says, "Why thank you Jin, I do have a beautiful voice, don't I?"

Eko stalks over and forces Charlie to take him into the jungle where he found the statues.

Flashback to Eko (in cornrows!) tasting heroin from some sort of dealer. Eko buys the heroin and puts the drugs in the Virgin Mary statues. The dealer says, "It is true what they say about you. You have no soul." Eko reaches over and slits the man's throat.

Flash forward to Claire yelling at Charlie. Kiki wants to scream, "Just act in your feelings already! I can't take all this sexual tension!"

We cut to Locke teaching Michael how to fire a gun.

Cut to Charlie and Eko looking for the plane, which held the statues. Eko questions Charlie on why he lied to Claire. Charlie claims he was a good person.

Suddenly, black smoke appears.

Flashback to Eko seeing his brother, now a priest, for the first time in 3 years. Eko reminds him that he saved his life and therefore owes him a favor. He asks to use his brother's plane to transport the heroin. His brother refuses, telling him: "I will always love you, but I will not help you."

We cut to Kate cutting Sawyer's hair. Michael comes over and offers to cover Kate's shift in the hatch so he can try talking to Walt via computer again. Kiki has an "Awww" moment when Michael tells Sawyer, "I'm glad you're okay, man" and Sawyer is genuine in his response.

Cut to Eko finding a parachute and a body with a gold tooth.

Flashback to Eko threatening to have his brother's church burned to the ground if he doesn't let him use his plane. In exchange for the use of his plane, Eko gives his brother money for Polio vaccines.

Flash forward to Charlie asking Eko if he's gonna beat him "with his Jesus stick"

Suddenly as Charlie climbs a tree to find the plane, there is an explosion and a huge cloud of black smoke, making roaring noises, stares Eko down. Kiki is all, "What the hell is going on?" at this point.

The black smoke disappears and Charlie makes me laugh once again saying, "Most people, when they see a swirling black creature made of smoke, they RUN!"

Cut to Michael talking to Walt on the computer again. Their conversation is as follows:

Walt: Dad?
Michael: Are you OK?
Walt: Yes. Are you alone?
Michael: Yes. Where are you?
Walt: You need to come-

Suddenly, Jack interrupts and Michael shuts the computer off. Jack reassures Michael they will find Walt.

Flashback to Eko's brother pleading to Eko not to get on the plane. The millitary show up and shoot Eko's brother. His brother is forced into the plane and Eko is left behind.

Flash forward to Eko finding his brother's body in the plane and crying. He embraces the corpse and weeps as he pours fuel over him. He gives Charlie a new Virgin Mary statue (WHY?). Charlie asks Eko if he is a priest. Eko puts on his brother's cross and says "Yes. Yes, I am."

Both Charlie and Eko repeat the 23rd Psalm as the plane burns.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

Cut to life on the beach. We see Jin and Sun welcoming Ana-Lucia and giving her fish Jin caught. Hurley helps a blonde woman set up her tent, Kate and Sawyer laugh together, and Claire throws Charlie's things out of her tent.

We end with Charlie setting up his own camp in the middle of the jungle and looking at his stash of multiple Virgin Mary Statues.

FADE OUT.

DISCUSS:

What will Charlie do now without Claire and Aaron? Will he turn to Heroin?

Will Claire ever forgive Charlie? Does he deserve forgiveness?

Will Kate and Sawyer finally get together?

Where is Walt being held, and how does he have access to a computer?

Will Michael turn violent, now that he has mastered using a gun?

What was that black smoke creature?
